Description

The primary role will be to supervise the scheduling of all customer orders through the complete supply process – Order Entry, Production, Materials Planning, Shipping and After Sales. This will entail developing master schedules through the company’ ERP (Dynamics Navision) system and ensuring an integrated approach to product supply by all departments in the chain. At all times, focusing on customer satisfaction in a challenging environment.  This position will also have line management responsibility for the Operations Support Team.

Upon completion of approximately 12 months in post, the scope of this role will broaden to encompass Operations.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Manage stock levels and re-order points for all product and production materials
  • Develop production KPIs and improve the scheduling process to reduce production lead times and improve delivery accuracy
  • Monitor and manage contingencies to normal production flows, such as product rework, machine downtime, product development projects, etc
  • Provide weekly and monthly analysis of throughput, including schedule adherence, material usage and productivity
  • Build on current non-conformance reporting and develop routines for root cause analysis and corrective action

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience operating in a manufacturing / engineering environment
  • Ability to demonstrate strong management skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with team members and with clients
  • Ability to work in a logical and systematic manner
  • Experience working with ERP and Capacity Management Systems
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
