Our prestigious client is looking to grow its sales team to keep up with the advancement of our existing and emerging services across the Social Care sector. An ideal candidate will be an ambitious and self-motivated person who is keen to learn what they do alongside undertaking training in Social Care to better understand their customers. A full training programme will commence on starting with our client to support the successful person through to becoming a valued member of our sales team. A car is essential as they are based on a 1,000-acre deer park in North-East Nottinghamshire with no access to public transport.

 

Job Description:

 

The Junior Sales Associate is initially a sales-support position, responsible for identifying and contacting prospects, with the expectation to grow into a full Sales role within 8-12 months. Initially during training, their Sales administration skills will require them to update our CRM to ensure details held are accurate. Source contract opportunities and obtain relevant information for the sales team. When suitable contracts have been recognised the associate will look to find clients for these opportunities, cold-call into the prospect companies, qualifying potential opportunities, and scheduling sales calls between prospects and our sales management team.

 

When training has been completed we would expect the Junior Sales Associate to start sourcing large clients around the UK for mail drops and create mail merge documents for sending information via post and email to clients. They will be responsible for developing sales calls for prospective customers and will develop into an expert in our industry with their own key accounts which is integral to the continued growth of the client’s products/services in existing and new markets.

 

The Junior Sales Associate is the first contact between the prospective customer and the client!

Primary function of the role will be to take responsibility for the development and performance of all sales and marketing activities in order to achieve growth in-line with company targets. Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contribute to the development of the company and its market profile both on-line (social media) and off-line (outbound post-exhibition sales activity).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a working knowledge of the company’s service offering
  • Develops a sales strategy for varied markets that ensures attainment of company sales goals
  • Prepare action/business plans to effectively develop sales leads and prospects
  • Ascertain and qualify the quality of new leads and report via CRM
  • Maintain contact with clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  • Participate in the company’s external event programme including presence at exhibitions
  • Provide timely feedback to the Sales Manager regarding performance
  • Sending emails and unsolicited sales information
  • Finding key regional players around the UK
  • Chasing up key portals for new tenders

Experience/skills/attributes

  • Previous experience of working in a client focused B to B telesales environment
  • Track record of achieving targets/KPI’s
  • Ability to communicate with clients at all levels
  • Ability to assess and understand customer needs to fulfil their requirements

There will be a weekly timetable of activities for the person to complete

 

Salary Package:

 

Initially the starting salary would be £18,000 p.a. with 20 days annual leave + statutory bank holidays. Probationary period we would expect to be 6 months and on successfully passing this we would then enter the person into our sales commission system where there is no ceiling limit. Commission is paid on any sales made when target has been reached. We would expect the base salary to rise considerably for the right individual when targets have been consistently met or exceeded.
