Recruitment Process
The recruitment process involves;

Advertising
Orbital can offer you, the client, specific advertising tailor made to suit your needs.

 

Telephone Screening
The recruitment team thoroughly check potential applicants previous work records to ensure a work reference can be produced. We endeavour to make stringent enquires in order to ensure our employees are of suitably high calibre for your company.


Initial Application
The service we offer includes a Medical Assessment form and the completion of an applicant form.

 

Interview
Orbital conducts a 30 minute in depth face to face interview with all potential candidates. Within this we are able to ascertain what type of work the candidate is most suitable for against what experience they have previously had.

 

Reference Checks
We endeavour to ensure all our potential candidates are fully reference checked.

 

Identification Checks
We have a member of staff employed whose role it is to check and ensure that all workers meet with the legal requirements.

 

Testing
Literacy and numerical tests are completed to all candidates before introducing them on site. These can be tailored towards your needs.

 

DVD Inductions
This free service allows us to put together a unique DVD specific to your company. The DVD will include visuals of the job and duties that the candidate will undertake.

 

Caption screens are used to provide Health and Safety information and On Site procedures. This is supported by a signed declaration detailing the information shown ensuring the candidate is fully aware of site rules and regulations.

 

This unique concept has proved to dramatically increase retention of staff.

 

On site Induction
Alternatively to the DVD induction, upon the clients request, we can offer the on site induction where the client can meet the candidate prior to starting work.

 

Exit Interview
Exit interviews can be conducted to ascertain why workers have left their position.

A copy of this feedback can be sent to you upon request.
Our recruitment process is standard procedure for all our clients. However we have other bespoke services available dependant our client’s individual needs. Orbital Recruitment can tailor a specific package for your company to include the following additional services:

 

CRB Checks
As part of our service, the standard and enhanced CRB Police checks can be arranged for candidates introduced to your company at an additional charge.

 

Workwear
Orbital can supply workwear so that candidates meet your code of dress / health and safety requirements.

 

ID Cards
We can supply workers with ID Cards to assist with your on site security.

Site Rules and Job Details Declaration

Written details of the job description including working hours, on site regulations and workwear requirements are issued to candidates prior to starting their employment.

 

Account Management
You will have a designated Account Manager who will be responsible for handling all your recruitment requirements. Regular communication is paramount in establishing long term relationships and ensuring that we continue to provide you with the highest level of service.

 

Key Performance Indicators
Orbital Recruitment will implement KPI’s so that you can monitor and review service levels as and when required.

 

Temp to Perm
We offer a standard temp to perm facility of 13 weeks. If you wish to take a candidate on before this time we can organise a perm / release fee.

 

Service Level and Loyalty Agreements
We offer a service level agreement agreed by Orbital Recruitment and your company to give clear and concise guidelines of agreed service levels.


A loyalty agreement is signed to agree our partnership and to offer commitment from both parties.

 

Transport
We offer a transport facility where we are able to ensure all workers arrive on time and where applicable in a group.

 

International Division

Our international division based in Poland, are responsible for recruiting candidates with a variety of skills and experience. Placements are made across all parts of Europe including the UK.

This service is backed up in the UK by a team of overseas consultants fluent in foreign languages and familiar with the overseas work ethic.
